Robert Chamblee, of Georgetown, Texas slipped away peacefully on Sunday, July 1, 2012, in Round Rock, at the age of 72. He was born on November 7, 1939, in Liberty, Texas, and was the only son of E.J. Chamblee and Helen (Stewart) Chamblee. Robert moved from Splendora, Texas to Sun City, in 2010. Robert was predeceased by his wife, Judith Robinson Chamblee, in 2003.

Robert enjoyed traveling and being on the road. So, for most of his life, he made truck driving his career. After retirement, Robert gave to others through his selfless devotion, wise counsel and deep Christian faith, by involving himself in ministry. He proudly served others as a Chaplain when he was needed.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Judith; mother, Helen; father, E.J.; and his sister, Rena Chamblee.

To cherish his memory, Robert leaves behind his daughters: Tracy Chamblee of Bacliff, Texas, Tammy Jackson of Baytown, Texas and Derbie Trojacek of Livingston, Texas; stepdaughter, Debbie Seese of Alvin, Texas; stepsons: Craig Steiner of Alvin, Texas, Clifford Lange of Dickinson, Texas and Kevin Steiner of Alabama; sisters: Rozan Franklin of Wichita Falls, Texas and Becky Lycan of Georgetown, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Ramsey Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Sterling-White Cemetery, in Highlands, Texas.

Memorials may be made in Robert's memory to Lighthouse Hospice, 1217 Ranch Road 2243, Georgetown, Texas.
