Marion Day Brown, 78, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on July 11, 2012. She was born to Joseph A. Day and Blanche H. Hutcherson on May 14, 1934 in Rhome, Texas. Marion married William Cavett Brown on November 17, 1975 in Wimberley, Texas.
She attended Texas Christian University and went on to work as a bookkeeper for many years. After retirement she and her husband moved to Georgetown and enjoyed being a member of the Wellsprings Methodist Church. Marion was highly respected and loved by those whose lives she touched. She will be remembered for her lovely smile and gracious, generous heart. We miss her already.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Joe Day, Jim Day, and granddaughter Kristi L. Brown.
Survivors include her husband W. Cavett Brown of Georgetown; sons Larry Simmons and wife Carla of Conroe, Texas and Gregory C. Brown and wife Kaletah of Georgetown; daughter Kevyn Kerr of Dallas, Texas; sisters Ruth Wyche Cox of Andrews, Texas and Mary Ellen Day of Fort Worth, Texas; grandsons Jason Simmons and Chase Simmons of The Woodlands, Texas; granddaughter Jamie A. Vaughn of Cedar Park, Texas; grandsons Gregory C. Brown, II of Leander, Texas and Cody A. Brown of Georgetown; granddaughters Crystal K. Robbins of Frisco, Texas and Courtney Kerr of Charleston, South Carolina; along with five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13th at Ramsey Funeral Home., where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14th in the Chapel. Burial will follow at the Wimberley Cemetery in Wimberley, Texas at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Gregory C. Brown, II, Cody A. Brown, Reid C. Vaughn, Richard Marslender, Andrew Robbins, and Chase Simmons.
